Book about quilter Martha Skelton to be signed tonight (The Vicksburg Post)

A book-signing and reception for a Vicksburg quilter is set for 4 until 6:30 tonight at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center. Mary Elizabeth Johnson, author of "Martha Skelton: Master Quilter of Mississippi," will sign books at SCHC auditorium.

29 girls to compete in pageant set to start next Wednesday (The Vicksburg Post)

The fourth annual Miss Mississippi's Outstanding Teen Pageant will kick off next Wednesday. This year, 29 contestants ages 13-17 will compete for the title. The winner will be crowned June 13.

Six Co-Lin players on all-state team (The Daily Leader)

WESSON - Six members of the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolfpack have been named to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) All-State Team. Right-handed pitcher Brandt Hinton of Brookhaven and shortstop Steven Gauthe' of Belle Rose, La., were named to the first team.
