The Jackson Public Schools board approved more than 200 district staff members on Friday to work this coming school year, including three principals, but the district is still looking for about 175 teachers.

A Jackson Public Schools principal known as a troubleshooter was approved for a new post. Stanley Blackmon is retiring as Lanier High School's principal. In July, he'll begin a new post as the State's Conservator in the Hazlehurst Municipal School District.
